Strings
All students who are in 5th and 6th grade at Lewis Carroll have the opportunity to learn to play a string instrument. These include violin, viola, and cello for 5th graders, with double bass available in the 6th grade.
Time and days we meet: 5th grade (beginning) Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:50-8:30am starting September 2nd. 6th grade (Intermediate) Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:50-8:30am starting September 3rd.
Understand that joining strings is a 2 year commitment at Lewis Carroll. This includes required performances each semester. At least one of these will be at another school. We provide all instruments at a rental fee of $25 per semester. We only have a limited number of instruments, so turn in the application found below as soon as possible to reserve your spot. If you would like to purchase your own instrument, please contact me for a reputable brand.
To join please fill out the strings contract form given in your Friday Folder, or print a copy of the form found below. Turn this form into the music room to reserve your spot.
